It’s a New Year

It’s 2011 and I’m very glad that 2010 is over.

2010 was probably one of the worst years of my life. I had crippling event after crippling event from the 3rd month of 2010 until the very end. It almost seemed as if satan himself had decided that he wanted to focus his attention squarely on me and try to destroy anything that gave me even a fleeting moment of happiness. I mean, I couldn’t even get a full month of smooth seas before something else came up and wrecked me. Despite all of that however, I can say that I’ve walked out a better, stronger person than before. I guess it’s kind of like turning coal into diamonds. In order for a chunk of coal to turn into a diamond it has to go under immense pressure and heat for eons, and the end result is a diamond; The strongest and most beautiful substance on earth.

So even though this year has been hard, I’m sort of thankful for it, because without it I wouldn’t have learned the things I learned, and I wouldn’t have grown as much as I have in these few short months.

I hope that your year was smooth without too many bumps, but if your year wasn’t too good either, just remember that your hard times fortify you, and make you a stronger and wiser person.

Goodbye 2010, you will be missed…

About boringtechie

Hello, I'm the boring techie! So you've landed yourself on this site due to me or someone else linking you here, and you're wondering: "What does this kid do, and why should I even care?" Right? Of course you are. Basically, I'm a Techie, though I'm not as boring as the title says, that's one of those things where the word means the opposite of what's REALLY going on... Anyway, I write tuts and make commentaries. That's about it...
